The Project I’m Most Proud Of

AFTER CHAOS

After chaos was a school project that I decided to build upon. The original assignment was to design a cityscape with some sort of chaos element and paint it on some large canvas using gouache. I decided to do mine in Unreal and create a whole game environment with the theme after chaos. Everything except the plants are modeled by me in Maya and then painted in Substance painter. I used the first player shooter template found in Unreal.

Along the way I had to learn about the atmosphere, fog and light properties, materials and how to use blueprints to combine base color, normals, ambient occlusion, roughness and such. I experimented with foliage and landscape tools as well, which resulted in a very positive learning experience. Here are some screenshots from the scene and gameplay.
